Indonesian zoo welcomes four Bengal tiger cubs

Four Bengal tiger cubs have been born healthy at Medan Zoo in northeast Sumatra, increasing the zoo’s collection of tigers – both Bengal and Sumatran – to 20. Despite being the most numerous of the tiger subspecies, there are thought to be fewer than 2500 Bengal tigers left in the wilds of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, China and Myanmar.
