A well-preserved air-raid shelter dating from the Spanish civil war has been discovered under former private residence in Barcelona’s San Andreu district. An 84-metre network of tunnels was found behind a false wall and is thought to have been untouched since the end of the war. Researchers found water supplies, toilets, working electricity and even bottles of brandy in the tunnels, which they hope to open to the public in the future. Read more: elpais.com
