Calorie-counting coming to a restaurant near you

Just in time for the Thanksgiving eating frenzy, the USA’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced plans to show the number of calories contained in food and drink sold in chain restaurants, grocery stores, and even vending machines across the nation. The aim is to alert buyers to just how many calories they’ll be consuming when they buy their cheeseburger and soda, and companies affected by the decision have until November next year to enforce the regulation.
