New cultural route joins four Danube countries in the Balkans

Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Croatia are included in a new cultural route for tourists called The Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route. The project is co-funded by the EU and is a candidate for certification as a cultural route of the European Council. It includes 12 wine regions and 20 Roman-era localities in the four countries, and its aim is to promote the region’s cultural heritage and develop cross-border tourism cooperation.
