Mascots for Olympics 2016 in Rio revealed

The official mascots for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro were announced by the Rio Organizing Committee on Sunday. The two mascots – a yellow cat-like creature for the Olympic Games and a green and blue plant-like creature for the Paralympic games – represent Brazil’s diverse range of flora and fauna. Both mascots remain nameless but the public has been asked to vote for one of three sets of names. Read more: riotimesonline.com
