Injuries and aftershocks following earthquake in Nagano ski region

A number of homes collapsed and at least 41 people have been reported injured – some seriously – in the magnitude-6.7 earthquake that hit Japan’s mountainous Nagano region on Saturday night. The popular ski centre of Hakuba is among the areas most affected by the quake. Multiple aftershocks have been recorded and authorities have warned people to be on the alert for landslides.
