Buddhist relics from the famous Mogao Caves near Dunhuang in China’s Gansu province will be displayed at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum from next week. The exhibition will feature around 120 artefacts from the Mogao Caves, thought to be among the most important Buddhist grottoes on earth, including a 13-metre-long reclining Buddha statue, examples of sutras and writings in Uigher, Tibetan, Syriac and Tangut scripts and copies of several cave murals. The exhibition runs from 28 November 2014 to 16 March 2015. Read more: lcsd.gov.hk
