New lease of life for Michael Douglas’s luxury Bermuda resort

Redevelopment work has begun on Michael Douglas’s $85 million luxury resort on Bermuda. The resort, Ariel Sands, has been in the Hollywood actor’s family since the 1950s and has been closed since 2008 after a series of potential development deals fell through. As the project kicked off, the Bermuda Tourism Authority announced that Douglas is to take on the role of tourism ambassador to help woo visitors to the island. Read more: royalgazette.com
