Nepal declares two-day public holiday for summit

The government of Nepal has declared a two day public holiday in the Kathmandu Valley on 26 and 27 November to coincide with the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit in Kathmandu. The government will also introduce special traffic-calming measures, with only half of vehicles allowed on the road on any given day, which will make exploring the cities of the valley easier for pedestrians, but will also affect public transport around the valley.
