New figures released on Wednesday has shown that the number of crimes committed against tourists has fallen in Paris. Police chiefs were under pressure to introduce new measures last year after a string of high profile incidents in the capital, and it seems these have been successful so far in 2014. The number of violent thefts targeting tourists in key areas such as the Louvre museum and along the Champs Elysées have fallen by up to 24% in areas. Read more: thelocal.fr
