Singapore Airlines revamps fleet to take on rivals

Singapore’s national airline is spending £200million fitting out its 19 Boeing 777 planes with bigger seats and television screens. Singapore Airlines’ first and business class seats will feature two new settings; ‘Sundeck’ and ‘Lazy Z’, with TV screens set to be expanded to 24 inches and 18 inches respectively. Economy class customers will also get bigger seats and screens during the revamp, which is projected to be completed in September 2016. The investment comes after Emirates Airways and Etihad Airways both unveiled a raft of luxury offerings, including showers and butlers. Read more: dailymail.co.uk
