New WWI memorial unveiled in northern France

A new WWI memorial, the International Memorial of Notre Dame de Lorette, was inaugurated by President Hollande on Tuesday in the town of Ablain-Saint-Nazaire in northern France. Designed by architect Philippe Prost, the memorial is made up of 500 steel plates commemorating the 579,606 soldiers from around the world who died in WWI. Read more: france24.com
