The first film studio in the People’s Republic of China has been transformed into a museum after a three-year refurbishment. The Changchun Film Studio in Jilin province was founded in 1950 and largely created Communist Party propaganda films, but evolved into one of China’s most prolific working film studios into the 2000s. The new museum includes a film gallery with statues of famous actors and an interactive archive where visitors can watch old films and try their hand at voice dubbing. Read more: chinadaily.com.cn
