New 'SurgeProtector' app designed to help riders avoid Uber price spikes
A new, free app called SurgeProtector was released yesterday to help consumers who use Uber and similar services avoid surge pricing. The app, which taps into the Uber API, helps users order a car directly to the nearest non-surging area around them.
