Economic crisis means less rembetika for Greeks

According to a Greek national survey, the economic crisis has had a negative impact on nightlife, particularly live entertainment such as bouzoukia clubs playing rembetika music. Attendance to such events has fallen by around 50% in the years between 2008-09 and 2011-12. People’s entertainment habits have changed drastically since the more prosperous times about two decades ago, especially for the working and middle class. Read more: greece.greekreporter.com
