Yellowstone looks at new wifi connections

Authorities at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming are looking into a new fiber-optic system that would boost wifi capability in the area. Talks are in their early days still but have already caused controversy. Proponents argue that internet connectivity is now a firmly established part of life and the national park should recognise and address that, while those opposed to the plan say that electronic devices distract people from the natural beauty they’ve come to the park to enjoy, and that the money, an estimated $34 million, could be better spent on upgrading other facilities at Yellowstone.
