Oregon, Alaska, Washington DC to legalize marijuana

In Tuesday’s midterm elections, the states of Oregon and Alaska have voted to follow in the footsteps of Colorado and Washington state and legalize the sale and consumption of marijuana for recreational use. In Washington, DC, voters approved the legalization of possession of marijuana but not retail sales. If passed by US Congress, the measure would mean adults over 21 in the capital could possess up to two ounces of marijuana and would be allowed to grow up to six plants. Read more: reuters.com
