Giacometti sculpture auctioned for $101 million

Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti’s bronze sculpture The Chariot has sold for US$101 million at a Sotheby’s auction in New York on Tuesday night. The sculpture was considered to represent hope for the post World-War generation and depicts a goddess frozen in motion. Read more: thelocal.ch
