Mexico’s Pasty Museum visited by Duke and Duchess of Cornwall

Most people associate the pasty with Cornwall in southwest England, but the first ever museum dedicated to the meat-filled pastry delight is actually to be found in Real del Monte, Mexico and it has just received the royal seal of approval. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, paid a visit during their current tour of Mexico, talking to staff and making a pasty or two themselves. The dish arrived in the country when British miners came here to work in the early nineteenth century. Read more: voanews.com
