Virgin Galactic disaster could delay space tourism launch
The explosion over California of the Virgin Galactic spaceship on Friday which left one person dead and another seriously injured could put back the launch of the company’s space tourism programme. Although Virgin Galactic says that tests will be able to continue while an investigation takes place, that investigation could take up to a year and puts the first passenger flights, scheduled for some time in 2015, in doubt.
