Iconic Hotel Moskva reopens

The famous Hotel Moskva in Moscow will reopen on 30 October as the Four Seasons Hotel Moscow, a replica of the original building which existed during Stalin’s rule. Hotel Moskva first opened in 1939 but was demolished for reconstruction a decade ago when the city government decided to modernize it. During the Soviet era it hosted Communist party officials and important guests. The hotel is located next to Red Square and its rooms have views over the Kremlin. The cheapest room will cost 28,500 rubles (US$675) on opening night and there will be five restaurants and a spa. Read more: themoscowtimes.com
