Camel race festival takes place in Wadi Rum

A series of camel races took place at the Sheikh Zayed Camels Race Festival in Jordan’s Wadi Rum this week. Around 200 camels raced in the traditional Bedouin event, which is supervised by the Emirates Camel Racing Federation. Most competitors were Jordanians from small Wadi Rum villages, and Saudi Arabians. See the photo gallery here: thenational.ae
