Spectacular setting for world cliff diving competition

Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula was the location of the Cliff Diving World Series at the weekend. Competitors dived into a massive cenote (water-filled sink hole), doing various twists and turns as they fell, before hitting the water feet-first to avoid injury. Britain’s Gary Hunt won the men’s event, while the women’s was won by Rachelle Simpson from the USA. Read more: bbc.co.uk
