Peru's Andean glaciers shrink more than 40%

Peru’s government has reported that the country’s Andean glaciers have shrunk more than 40% since the 1970s. The glaciers, which are in a process of accelerated meltdown due to climate change, feed hydroelectric plants and irrigate the country’s agricultural basins and key cities.
