Lufthansa pilots strike for the eighth time this year

More that 200,000 travellers are set to be affected by the latest industrial action by Lufthansa pilots. The 36-hour walk-out begins at 1pm on Monday and runs until midnight on Tuesday, coinciding with half-term school holidays in Germany. The airline has cancelled 1450 flights in anticipation of the strike, which has been called in the ongoing dispute over pay and pensions. Read more: reuters.com
