Italy floods: Three deaths, damage and 30,000 hams washed away
The weekend’s floods, which caused damage and took one life in Genoa, have now spread to Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. Two women in the Maremma area of Tuscany were killed when their car was swept away by floodwaters. In Bologna heavy rains caused part of the the roof of the city’s famous portico, which is the longest in the world, to collapse, and in the Parma area 30,000 prosciutto hams were washed away by the dirty water.
