Discovery of Greek god floor mosaic in Amphipolis tomb
Archaeologists working on the Amphipolis tomb site in northern Greece have discovered a large floor mosaic. The mosaic is 3m wide and 4.5m long, it’s made of multicoloured pebbles and shows the Greek god Hermes leading a horse-drawn chariot which is driven by a man with a laurel wreath. Excavations at the site started in August and archaeologists are still to enter the fourth chamber. Read more: bbc.co.uk
