Mexico ski resort to open on Thanksgiving Day with new ski lifts

The Taos Ski Valley has announced plans to start the season on 27 November, with lift equipment functioning on a limited schedule. Beginning this Thanksgiving, the lifts will run Thursday through Sunday from 9am to 4pm until 11 December, when a full, seven-day schedule will begin. Also just open this season, a new ski lift will deposit skiers at the 12,450-ft summit of Kachina Peak, and new access to a 35-acre, hike-to terrain will give skiers the freedom to choose a number of different slopes and runs.
