Super typhoon Vongfong set to storm through Japan

A super typhoon being billed as the earth’s biggest storm since super typhoon Haiyan, which devastated parts of the Philippines last November, is on course to hit Japan this weekend. Typhoon Vongfong is forecast to reach Okinawa on Saturday, before moving north and northeast through Kyūshū, Shikoku and Japan’s main island of Honshū. It is predicted to reach Osaka and Tokyo late Monday and into Tuesday. Read more: weather.com
