Google Street View images have been taken of the UAE’s Liwa Oasis and surrounding desert in the Empty Quarter, by strapping a camera to the back of a camel called Raffia. Raffia walked through the desert, capturing images of the dunes, oasis, her own shadow and footsteps in the sand, and other camels. Usually images are taken with a car, but this is the first time an animal has been used to do the job. Read more: thenational.ae and view the images here: google.com
