Thieves find lucrative use for jackfruit in the Philippines

Police in the Philippines have caught two thieves who have been using jackfruit sap to steal cash from ATMs. The thieves reportedly put jackfruit sap on a metal bar that they then inserted into the machines – any cash being withdrawn would stick to the bar, which could be later retrieved. Police remarked that the low-tech method was ‘clever’ and don’t know if other thieves are employing the technique. Read more: mb.com.ph
