The famous Casino Royale in Kathmandu has reopened for business after finally paying its outstanding tax bill. All of Nepal’s casinos were closed in April over unpaid taxes, which amounted to a staggering US$11.26 million. Part of the Yak & Yeti Hotel, the Casino Royale was Nepal’s first casino, famous in its heyday as a hangout for international playboys. Read more: thehimalayantimes.com
