The World Heritage Temples of Angkor complex will play host to the Ultra Trail d’Angkor this weekend.

It will be the first time Cambodia has hosted the race – a 128km course that will see participants running along the ancient avenues around the complex from 5pm Saturday night until 9am Sunday morning. Three shorter versions of the course – two 32km trails and one 64km trail – will also be open for those who don’t feel up to the full 128km challenge, and there will be options for relay teams. Cambodia’s secretary-general of the National Olympic Committee has declared the race will be a ‘unique experience’ and ‘never seen before adventure’.
