Mana Bus has coaches to/from Auckland (from $15, 3½ hours, five daily), Hamilton ($13, two hours, daily), Katikati (from $15, 35 minutes, two daily) and Rotorua ($12, 1½ hours, daily).

Baybus has services to Mt Maunganui ($3.40, 28 minutes, every 15 minutes), Papamoa ($3.40, 30 minutes, hourly), Rotorua ($12.20, 1½ hours, two daily), Whakatane ($16, two hours, most days) and Katikati ($8.20, 50 minutes, two daily).


If you’re heading to Cambridge on SH29, the Takitimu Dr toll road costs $1.80 per car. Heading east to Whakatane or south to Rotorua, there's also the option of the Tauranga Eastern Link ($2 per car), which begins near Papamoa.
