Yeda feels a little like a beer or uni hall, probably because the long, minimalist room with concrete floors is packed with students. It covers all Asian bases, from Vietnamese pho to Thai chicken and dumplings. Sip sake or an Asahi while you wait (which won't be long). Ask about Saturday afternoon cooking classes ($40 per person).
The set menu, available between 11am and 2.30pm, is a winner and includes a starter, rice dish or soup and a miso soup.
