Abel Tasman Water and Walk is a small group tour for visitors who prefer faster access into the heart of this popular National Park so that they can spend more time exploring the many features with an expert interpretive guide who will highlight the less obvious features of Maori history, early settler activity and the endless stories that abound here, especially from the rich variety of vegetation, birds and aquatic life.

This half-day self-guided cycle adventure takes in some of the most stunning scenery on Tasman’s Great Taste Trail taking approximately 4-hours. There are many fun stops along the way with award winning wineries, craft breweries, and the World of Wearable Art museum to name a few. Cycle along the old rail route from Nelson City to Richmond then turn onto the picturesque Coastal Route to Rabbit Island and Mapua. It is all grade one riding (easy) where a moderate fitness level is required. A short ride on the Mapua Ferry has you landing on the Mapua Wharf where the vibe and atmosphere is very relaxing while you enjoy some great food and beverages. This is also a great day out for the whole family.

On this full-day adventure, you will experience a half day of kayaking and a half day of mountain biking. Leave Nelson in the morning to head to Kaiteriteri. Once there, you'll get to explore what the area has to offer by water, then by land. Hotel pickup and drop-off is not included: you will meet at a centrally located departure point. The kayak portion of the tour is guided, while the biking portion is self-guided with various trails to travel on.

Through client feedback, spending one night in Mapua just isn’t enough time to enjoy the ambience of this seaside village. With cafes, pubs, restaurants, wine bars and a brewery, the options are first class. Local favorites on the Mapua Wharf include locally sourced fish and chips, and real fruit ice creams. Start your 1st day at 9am as you will cycle between three to five hours per day on a vehicle free trail with an easy to moderate gradient. During your ride you will be able to visit award winning wineries, craft breweries and cafés, you can sample local produce and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere of Mapua Wharf.
