The road is mostly flat, with one steeper section, and takes you across the Rees and Dart valleys. Cycle the stunning road from Glenorchy around the head of Lake Wakatipu to lunch at Kinloch Lodge, followed by zipping back across the lake in our boat to Glenorchy.Pick up your bikes any time that suits you after 8.30am from The Trading Post in Glenorchy (you can grab hot drinks, breakfast croissants and snacks here). The road isn't heavily trafficked so this is a pretty enjoyable ride surrounded by mountains and farmland. You'll cross the Rees and Dart valleys, both with braided rivers running through them, and likely see some animals in the fields.After 26kms you'll definitely have worked up an appetite for your sharing lunch platter, accompanied by a stunning view. Indulge yourselves with homemade bread, local cheese, high country salmon, home baked ham, fresh salad from our garden, vegetables, pickles and more. The restaurant offers award-winning wines and local craft beers to help quench your thirst before you get the boat back to Glenorchy at 2.15pm.
