It’s not a goal to achieve but a history to make and a journey to find oneselfMount Everest Expedition is an ultimate adventure beyond one’s expectations and beliefs. It is the highest level of adventure that exist in the world today. Journey to the roof of the world is not everyone’s cup of tea though. It takes a long and consistence dedication and effort to finally be able to kiss the summit. The highest mountain in the earth named after Sir George Everest, a British surveyor who scaled the Everest and measured the height.Mt Everest was successfully climbed by the duo Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Sir Tenzing Norgay Sherpa from Nepal in 1953. Following their triumph, the expedition to the Everest has been very demanding among the mountaineers and the admirers of the Everest. 2000+ summiteers have already successfully climbed the peak and still many aspirants are arising every year with the aim to make a history.
ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productEverest expedition from the South side starts with the Lukla flight from Kathmandu and continues alongside the Namche Bazaar and ultimately to Everest base camp and the summit. There’s a lot of technical difficulties involved while one ascents from Camp I and eventually to the top of the Everest.Detailed Itinerary:Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1400mWelcome to the country of Everest. Best of our staffs will meet you in the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Welcome dinner in the night with our cultural program.Day 02:Preparation day in KathmanduWe separate this day for the preparation of the entire journey. Thorough planning and discussion will be held before leaving the valley. Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu is optional when if intended, we can visit a number of world heritage listed places.Day 03:Fly to Lukla 2860m and trek to Phakding 2610mAfter having breakfast early on, head towards the domestic airport for a short scenic flight to Lukla. 35 mins is for the incredible views of snowcapped mountains range with glimpse of Everest. From Lukla, after a refreshing break, follow your guide as the walk begins through several nice Sherpa traditional villages with cheerful smiles welcoming you. Your first overnight is at Phakding village by the glacial river Dudh Koshi.Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3440mA pleasant walk through beautiful alpine woodland of pines and rhododendron trees with views of snowcapped peaks. Walk follows the river upstream crossing several bridges and entering the Sagarmatha National Park. This park is listed as the highest National Park and one of the World Heritage Sites. As the walk progresses, go all the way to Namche Bazaar, a wonderful village and the last place with modern facilities of ATM, banks, post office, cyber cafe, bakeries, restaurants, various shops and stores.Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursionNamche Bazaar is an ideal spot for resting and acclimatization before heading higher. Morning after breakfast take a short walk to the top of Namche at National Park headquarter area with a museum full of information regarding Khumbu / Everest area of Sherpa religions, history, mountaineering to flora and fauna. This place offers stunning views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtega, Kwangde, Khumbila, Mt Everest and Lhotse.Day 06: Trek to Tengboche 3860mEnjoy the fabulous views of Ama Dablam (one of the most beautiful peaks in all Himalaya) today. This nice walk also offers great views of Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku and Kwangde. The second half of the journey takes us through a pristine forest to Tengboche Monastery. Here, the mountaineers get blessed from the high lama (priest) for better success and safe expedition.Day 07:Trek to Dingboche 4410mAfter breakfast, walk downhill through lovely rhododendron and pines forest to cross a bridge over Imja river. Make a moderate climb to reach at Pangboche village with houses built of stones (the last permanent village before Everest Base Camp). Leaving the tree lines behind, walk slowly to an exposed area with super views of Mt Ama Dablam at close distance. Dingboche for overnight stop.Day 08/11: Dingboche- Rest and acclimatizeAnother acclimatization time at Dingboche for safe and enjoyable adventure. As the altitude gains rapidly from here onwards, having enough rest helps to acclimatize well to reach Everest Base Camp and climb forward. Dingboche offers stunning views North Face of Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Nuptse and Lhotse mountains. A short high climb on the ridge provides views of world’s 5th highest Mt Makalu and Amphu Labtsa peak.Day 12:Trek to Lobuche 4940mMorning walk follows an uphill path for an hour and then a nice pleasant walk to Thugla, located at the junction joining Pheriche valley, Dingboche and Cholatse pass, Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar. After a lunch break at Thugla, climb up to the Khumbu Glacier with many memorials of unfortunate mountaineers and climbers. From here, a gradual walk to Lobuche for overnight stop.Day 13: Trek to Everest Base Camp 5364mTake the trail through once vast Gorakshep Lake walking on Moraine and icy trails. Gorakshep with 4-5 nice lodges and the last place with lodge facilities before Everest Base Camp; continue your walk to the major highlight, the Everest Base Camp walking over Moraine overlooking at Khumbu Icefall. Even though the walk is strenuous, you get to view Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori and enjoy the incredible moment. This region will be our home for the next 6 weeks.Day 14/16: Rest, acclimatize and preparationBefore you venture out in the most spectacular and awe-inspiring journey, take the enough rest and prepare yourself for the expedition days.Day 17/62: Mount Everest ClimbingDay 63: Descend down to Everest base campDay 64/67: Trek down to LuklaRetracing the way back to Lukla, descend all the way until you arrive at Lukla for the next day flight to Kathmandu.Day 68:Flight to KathmanduThe morning flight takes you to Kathmandu in just half an hour. After breakfast, our city guide will take you on a half day tour around Kathmandu at your places of interest. You can do souvenir shopping and exploring around. Farewell dinner for all of you in the night, successful climbers, whose name will go down to history and to the Sherpas who went through all the hardships to make your journey a success.Day 69: International departureUnfortunately, the moment is here to say goodbye.
