Tour description provided by Viator

Manaslu Larke Pass Trek is a rare opportunity to explore a relatively new trekking region in Nepal. Abundant in spectacular views along the border of Nepal and China, Manaslu Trek is located in the west of Kathmandu in the Manaslu Region situated at the elevation of 5135m (16844ft). This trek was officially opened to tourists in 1991. Mountaineering expeditions have long had access to the area though. Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure offers you a 21 days round Manaslu Trek but you can make your own Itinerary as per your request, desire and time frame. The suitable seasons to trek in this region are spring (March to May) and autumn (August to October).Manaslu also known as Kutang is the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 metres (26,781 ft) above sea level. It is located in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas, in the west-central part of Nepal.
highlights of Manaslu Larke Pass Trek: • It is far less crowded than its more well known peers Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit. The word is getting out about Manaslu, but there are still about 10 times fewer trekkers on the Manaslu Trail • The trek is wild and remote, yet there are teahouses at every day stage, so trekkers don’t need to bring tents and food, making it more accessible and affordable than similar treks. • The trailhead is reached over land, avoiding the need for domestic flights. • The first part of the trail follows the Buri Gandaki, a deep, long river gorge, with many suspension bridge crossings • The scenery provides all Nepal has to offer: you’ll trek from the subtropical jungle at lower elevations, through the Himalayan foothills to the high, cold and challenging crossing of the Larkya La above 5,100 meters / 17,000 feet. • Experience the Nepalese and Tibetan mixture culture • Walking between the borders of Nepal and Tibet • Crossing Larkya La over 5215 meters                                                     Trip Overview Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m) Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation.
