A daily direct bus to Jomsom (Rs 1300, eight to nine hours) departs from Pokhara's Hallan Chowk at 7am. In the other direction the departure time is the same and the bus leaves from near the airport. Less frequent buses run north from Beni to Ghasa (Rs 800) via Tatopani (Rs 500). It's a similar fare in a share 4WD. (These are fares for foreigners, as opposed to the much lower local fares that you may be able to get.) If you are going straight through to Jomsom you may need to change buses in Ghasa (a district border); the fare from Ghasa to Jomsom is Rs 800 to Rs 900. The entire journey from Beni to Jomsom will take six to eight hours – if all goes well!
