DAY 1 Time : 8:30 am Windhoek > Okonjima Africat FoundationYou will be collected between 08:00 and 08:30 within Windhoek city. The first day will take us to Okonjima. It is the home of the AfriCat Foundation in Namibia, a conservation operation that focuses on the African big cats, particularly the cheetah. Accommodation: Plains Camp or similar Meals: BLDDAY 2 Time : 8:00 am Okonjima > Etosha National ParkThis morning we make an early start and head off towards the Etosha National Park. We will travel via Lake Otjikoto, which is Namibia's largest permanent natural lake. Accommodation: Namutoni Rest Camp or similar Meals: BLDDAY 3 Time : 7:30 am Etosha National Park (full day game viewing)Today we will spend most of the day watching wildlife. A visit to a number of waterholes is high on the cards and we make a stop at the Etosha Pan, the “place of dry water”. Accommodation: Okaukuejo Rest Camp or similar Meals: BLDDAY 4 Time : 8:00 am Etosha National Park > Hobatere AreaToday we travel through the previously restricted area of Western Etosha National Park, exiting via the Galton Gate. The name Hobatere means “Find me”, and once you do, you will enjoy a warm welcome and personalized service. Accommodation: Hobatere Lodge or similar Meals: BLDDAY 5 Time : 8:00 am Hobatere > Twyfelfontein AreaYou have the opportunity of visiting a Himba Village – the only traditionally functioning Himba community outside the far north Kaokoland region of Namibia. Accommodation: Twyfelfontein Country Lodge or similar Meals: BLDDAY 6 Time : 8:00 am Twyfelfontein > Swakopmund Seaside ResortWe start early to enjoy the feel of the cool breeze of the morning. Our first stop is in the small town of Uis, an old mining town and one of the best places to buy semi-precious stones for which Namibia is famous. The seafood in Swakopmund is superb. Accommodation: Beach Hotel or similar Meals: BLDDAY 7 Time : 12:30 pm Swakopmund > Windhoek City or Walvis BayWe will depart around lunch-time (for those flying out from Windhoek International Airport with late evening flights), giving us time to spend the morning relaxing in Swakopmund.
