DAY1: Arrive to Heho airport – overland to Loikaw MEAL: -/-/-Note: There is a direct flight from Yangon to Loikaw three days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) a week. Upon arrival at Heho airport, proceed the scenic, drive through the Shan and Kayah states before arriving into Loikaw town. Bisected by the Bilu River. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening head into downtown Loikaw to visit the Taung Kwe Pagoda. Overnight stay in Loikaw.DAY2:  Sightseeing Hill Tribes Village  MEAL: B/-/-In the morning drive to Demaso market (only open Mon, Wed, and Sat). Local women line up with batches of homemade wine, each offering free samples to any interested customers. After deciding on a particularly tasty one, customers will make their purchase, filling up containers they brought themselves. Then drive to the countryside for an easy walk through local villages and farmland. Go to the Pan Phet village. Locally referred to as “long neck ladies”, the Padaung women are famous for the many golden neck rings they wear. Though the tradition is dying out, most women over 40 in the village can still be seen wearing these heavy accessories. After sightseeing drive back to Loikaw. Visit Haw KyaungState Museum. Overnight stay in Loikaw.DAY3:  Loikaw – Sagar – Inle Lake  MEAL: B/-/-Drive to small town of Phae Khone. Take a private boat to INLE LAKE. During the boat journey offer full of fabulous views and home to many unique species of birds, both indigenous and migratory. Upon arriving in the Sagar area, visit to the ‘sunken’ stupas of Sagar.Go to THAYA GONE and to step to the top of a small hill where enjoy scenery landscape of the lake, flowering trees and numerous settlements dotted on both sides of the canal.Another stop will be made in Sae Khaung Pottery Village to see the crafting of oil and water pots as well as the natural, underground kilns used by the villagers. On the western shores of the Sagar area is Tar Kaung, a series of more than 200 stupas which also make a fabulous photo stop. Lunch will be arranged along the way. Traveling back in the afternoon, the light has shifted and the route back appears much different with unique activities occurring on the water and in the villages. Private Guided Full Day Tour in Kayan Ethnic Long-neck Padaung from Loikaw

Our driver and English-speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel in Loikaw about 8:00 am.Transfer by car from Loikaw to Phan Pet, a cluster of 10 hamlets, forming 5 x Kayan villages.Trekking: Before visiting the hamlet of Salong Kana, home of different artisans (called as the “artist village”), the local guide will take you about 1.5 hours trekking to a view point on a hill that overlooks the scenic area and provides an understanding of the environment in which the Kayan ethnic live and farm. After a rest, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the house of the first artisan, the “bracelet maker” who will demonstrate how to create traditional bracelets and work the bronze coils the Kayan have been traditionally wearing around their neck. The bracelet maker is the last of her kind in the area and without apprentices, her knowledge not being passed on.Enjoy traditional lunch at private village house. A local women group, trained by UN hygiene officers, will prepare delicious lunch boxes for you (at least 3 Kayan dishes).After lunch, we will continue to visit artisan houses and explore traditional techniques to make weaving and bamboo crafts.The “Cotton grower & weaver”: There are only a few women left in Pan Phet that grow their own cotton, do the threading and weaving traditional textiles (ie. Kayan tunic).The bamboo cup and basket maker (braiding techniques).You will also enjoy interacting with fun-loving and artistic Kayan people and discover the tradition and culture of local ethnic people.After that trekking about 2 hours back to car pick-up point and enjoy the scenic view along the trekking.Option: Instead of 2-hour trekking to car pick-up point at the end of village visit, we can pick you up in Salong Kana and transfer to Rang Ku Village (10-min drive) to visit some the little shops that Kayan women have opened to sell their crafts and support their families.After the tour, transfer to your hotel in Loikaw.
