the lake around 8am. You will be escorted to the pier for your transport to Indein via a scenic 8 kilometer boat ride from Inle Lake. The famous places of interest you will visit at Indein are Nyaung Ohak which houses crumbling stupas with ornate stucco carvings of animal deva, etc., and Shwe Inn Thein Pagoda, a complex of 1054 weather-beaten Buddhist pagodas built in 17th and 18th centuries.A local restaurant will then serve a delicious local lunch, after which you will visit at traditional weaving workshop to watch and learn the fascinating process of spinning and weaving lotus flowers into stunning products such as scarves and shirts. This trade began around 100 years ago when the women of Inle Lake began weaving patterned textiles out of the lotus flowers which grow on the lake to make a living. A stop will also be made at Paung-Daw-Oo Pagoda, an important religious site in the Shan State. The pagoda houses five small gilded images of Buddha, which have been covered in gold leaf to the point that their original forms cannot be seen. We will then transfer you back to your hotel.
