Car pick up from the hotel in Yangon at 7:00am, drive outside of Yangon and shopping at Htauk Kyant market. Drive an hour to reach the kitchen and we'll prepare for cooking ourselves or let the helpers to do for us. Village walk to see some weaving cottages, plantation and livestock firms we can visit. A workshop is at the kitchen to make a shopping baskets. Full day excursion to cook, eat, sleep and visiting to a quiet village life to experience the real countryside of Myanmar and friendly people. You will get a basket as gift from the workshop at the kitchen.
Mr. Henry is passionate in creation and he is also a food lover. This village kitchen and garden is designed by his own creation and a perfect place for people to get away from Yangon. A small land in a quiet village has a rich collection of plants and trees. He collected flowers, plants, trees, woods and chairs from different part of Myanmar. Woods are mainly old and recycled ones that he used in building up this beautiful and attractive kitchen and for some furniture for sitting while we’re waiting for the home cooked foods. A little workshop is attached at the kitchen and community from the village are trained for making shopping baskets. This helps the low-income people to earn extra in their daily life.Henry’s village kitchen is located near 9th mile, west side of Yangon-Naypyidaw highway road. A hidden village beside has a beautiful village kitchen, a lovely garden and friendly villagers to meet. It’s really a perfect day out from Yangon and we have to drive 1,5 hours only to get there.  Car will pick up from Yangon and drive outside Yangon. Shopping at Htauk Kyant market for our cooking class. Start with home stay experience for a day escape from Yangon, taking a rest, cook your menu for the day and enjoy your home cooked foods. We can even take a nap just before we do other village activities. Village walk, bike tour, visiting cottages such as animal firms, weaving factories, gardens and plantations such as rubber, mango, dragon fruit, jackfruit and etc. It can be really a refreshing of our mind and body and feel our private life in this tranquil village. During the day we can participate in making baskets which is something like giving back to community program. Kitchen will get for you a shopping basket end of the day.Big families or a company group visited here, the spacious football playground is right in front of Henry’s village kitchen, either football, volleyball or any group sport can do it so easily.After cooking, eating and village activities, at around 4 or 5 5pm, we’ll leave this quiet and hidden village behind us and head back to Yangon.
