From the red city of Marrakech to the tranquility of the south and Sahara, then back to the medieval medina of Fes, this tour is designed to combine tour and trek via mountain views, beautiful valleys, stunning gorges, Kasbahs, oases of the nomads, desert plateau, dunes of all sizes, ancient cities and the epic High Atlas Mountains themselves. Day 1: Marrakech – Tichka Pass – Ait ben haddou – Dades ValleyWe pick up you by 4x4 in the morning to start your adventure and drive you from Marrakech to Rose valley, across the Tizi- N-Tichka pass (2260m high) in the High Atlas Mountains. From Marrakech to Ouarzazate, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes with different colors and the Berber villages along the way. The first visit will be made to Kasbah Ait benhadou, Human heritage site famous for movies making : Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, kingdom of heaven… and its typical Kasbah, lunch near the site in a typical restaurant,. Afterwards, we go further south to Ouarzazate, The gate to Sahara, famous for its cinema studios, drive east wards to the green rose valley and the city of roses via the fascinating Skoura palm grove. Our journey continues to the Dades Gorge where you’ll enjoy seeing the amazing Rock formation called “the monkey Toes” and the standing Kasbah of Kasbah Ait yul. Dinner and overnight in guest house.Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Erfoud - Merzouga dunesAfter a large Moroccan breakfast at your Family house, checking out Rose valley and take the road to Tighir village and stopping for morning walk accros Todgha gorges where the cliffs are as high as 200m and only 10m wide . We drive to Tinjedad to have lunch and visit Touroug Palm Plantations reaching Erfoud town for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, The Dunes of Merzouga. We now switch from our 4×4 to camels, where you’ll be taken on a camel ride on the desert to enjoy the sunset on the dunes and overnight on a desert Camp. Diner sleeping in bivouac on nomad Berber tents in the middle of the dunes of Merzouga.Day 3: Merzouga dunes –Ziz valley - Errachidia – MideltEarly in the morning departure to enjoy sunrise from the dunes of Erg chebbi, breakfast in the camp and camel ride back or walk with the caravan to the hotel where the 4×4 are parked. We drive afterwards along the large Ziz valley, the longest and most preserved palm valleys of Morocco, famous for its good quality of dates, toilet and drinks break in Errachidia, then we head north to Midelt after crossing the High-Atlas Mountains. Overnight at the hotel in Midelt.Day 4 : Midelt - Ifrane – Meknes – visit of Volubilis - FesDepart in the morning to Fes, by nice road across the middle Atlas region and through a beautiful city of Ifrane, we join Meknes, the Ismalian capital famous for its 40 km long walls. Short stop to visit Bab Mansour gate, the royal stables and the Jewish quarter before we take the route again towards Fez via the Roman city of Volubilis and the holy village of Moulay Idriss.
