Tafraoute, a pleasant town surrounded by the red granite landscape of the Anti-Atlas. The jagged rock formations and green palm gardens of the Ameln valley are a true natural gem.Day 1: Tafraoute to Tata in the morning we depart from tafraoute to the south to Tata via ait mansour valley .Day 2 ; Tata – Foum Zguid – Sand dunes of Erg Chigaga After a relaxing night in Tata, we drive to the desert.Day 3 : Sand dunes of Erg Chigaga – M’Hamid – Zagora After a magical night in the desert, we turn back to civilization via M’Hamid. Day 4 : Zagora – Draa valley – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazat From Zagora we return to Ouarzazat. We pass the green Draa valley
Tafraoute – TataAfter breakfast we take off from Tafraoute towards the oasis town of Tata. Along the way, we traverse the Aït Mensour valley with its beautiful palm oases, refreshing rivers and some traditional Kasbahs. We overnight in Tata.Tata – Foum Zguid – Sand dunes of Erg ChigagaAfter a relaxing night in Tata, we drive to the desert. We stop in Foum Zguid for lunch. On the back of a dromedary or with the 4×4, we discover the magical sand dunes of Erg Chigaga. We stay in a nomad camp between the high sand dunes and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Sand dunes of Erg Chigaga – M’Hamid – Zagora After a magical night in the desert, we turn back to civilization via M’Hamid. We travel to Zagora where we spend the night. Along the way we stop in Tamegroute with the possibility to visit the Quran library, the underground kasbahs and a cooperative of pottery.Zagora – Draa valley – Aït Ben Haddou – OuarzazatFrom Zagora we return to Ouarzazat. We pass the green Draa valley, the Berber village Agdz and we cross the Anti-Atlas over the Tizi’n Tiniffit pass. Before we reach Ouarzazat, we first visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is a beautiful historical site that is declared to be world heritage by UNESCO in 1987.
