Vichy Thermalia Spa

Spa in Middle Atlas

This ultramodern spa is built around a thermal spring gushing out of the mountainside in the spectacular foothills of the Middle Atlas. Escape the city for a dip in the steamy, sulphurous indoor pool, the water at a comfortable 40°C. Choose from various massages and beauty treatments booked via the website. You'll need private transport for the 20km drive from Fez.

Men and women use the pool at the same time. One set of treatment rooms is only for women, while the other set is mixed.

Note that photography is not allowed in the spa.

Attached to the spa is the Vichy Thermalia Spa Hotel with 100 rooms, all with balconies overlooking the surrounding mountains. There's a bar and restaurant, gym, exercise studio, outdoor pool (not heated) and children's playroom. It's an impressive place linked to the spa by an internal walkway. The new private road to the hotel and spa means that visitors don't have access to Moulay Yacoub, but the village is set prettily on the hills above.
