A tour that takes you From Fez the city which’s often considered as the spiritual and cultural center of Morocco to the desert where you will Ride a camel through the desert at sunset, see where Ridley Scott filmed Gladiator, and then depart to Marrakech Known as the Red City because of the stones used for the buildings in the old part of the city, the Medina !
Day 1: FES - AZROU - MIDELT - VALLÉE DU ZIZ - ERFOUD –RISSANI- MERZOUGAWe’ll leave for Merzouga, passing through the great cedar forests of Azrou, where troops of wild Barbary Apes (Barbary Macaque) live.It’ll be a great opportunity to take photos of the wilderness,and then we continue via the Middle Atlas Mountains toward the valley of Tafilalt.We’ll have lunch in a restaurant in Midelt, then we drive through Erfoud, famous for its dates and fossils, crossing several Berber villages, and Rissan the capital of Tafilalt ( Tafilalt is considered as one of the largest oases in the world) , then we carry on to Merzouga. Once we arrive in Merzouga, we get prepared for a desert camel trekking. We’ll ride through a series of superb dunes in the Erg Chebbi sand dune. Dinner and overnight in a Berber tent at the foot of Erg Chebbi.Day 2 : MERZOUGA / TODRA GORGE / OUARZAZATEWe will wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. We head back to the hotel on our camels for breakfast and shower before leaving. We’ll make a quick visit to the the holy city Rissani and also Erfoud. And then we leave for Todra Gorges for a visit and to take a walk in the palm grove of the Todra valley. Passing through palms of Touroug and Tinjdad.After lunch in Todra gorges, we set off for Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate via the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in ouarzazate.Day 3 : Ouarzazate - MarrakechAfter breakfast, we’ll explore Ouarzazate, which is famous for its kasbahs, including that of Taourirt, then Atlas Studio (It was created in 1983, Ridley Scott filmed some of the movie Gladiator (2000), kingdom of Heaven (2005) .Astrèix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002) was also shot there, and Tutankhamun series; The Cursed Pharaoh, and other American, Italian, German productions, etc...)Then we visit Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the most impressive Ksar, and the most poetic of all the south of Morocco, the kasbah, declared UNESCO World Heritage.After lunch, we'll depart for Marrakech.Diner and overnight in Marrakech.
