Podgorica airport is 9km south of the city. Airlines flying here year-round include Montenegro, Adria, Air Serbia, Alitalia, Austrian, LOT, Ryanair, Turkish and Wizz.
Taxi fares to the city are about €12; check the fare before getting in. Trains head between Podgorica and Aerodrom station (€1.20, seven minutes, 10 daily), which is a hard-to-find shed on a scrappy patch of land about 1km from the airport.
Podgorica’s bus station has a left-luggage service, an ATM, a restaurant and regular services to all major towns, including Herceg Novi (€10, three hours), Kotor (€7.50, 2¼ hours), Budva (€6, 1½ hours), Ulcinj (€7, two hours) and Cetinje (€3, 30 minutes). International destinations include Dubrovnik, Sarajevo, Pristina, Belgrade and Tirana.
Car-hire agencies with counters at Podgorica Airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar and Sixt. Local agency Meridian also has a city office. The Sozina tunnel and toll road connects Podgorica to the Adriatic coast.
From Podgorica's train station there are services to Bar (€2.40, one hour, 12 daily), Virpazar (€1.40, 30 minutes, 10 daily) and Belgrade (€21, 11¾ hours, two daily).
