South of Bijelo Polje, the Podgorica–Belgrade highway joins another highway leading through Berane and Rožaje. Buses take both of these routes. The road from Mojkovac to Žabljak is in excellent condition but gets twistier as it leaves the Tara Canyon and climbs into the mountains; this isn’t a regular bus route. Plav is the most isolated town but it’s reached by a scenic road used by frequent buses to Berane. It’s possible to circle the Bjelasica mountains completely in a 136km loop. The most spectacular section is from Kolašin to Andrijevica, but it is prone to landslides in bad weather and avoided by buses.
It’s possible to travel between Kolašin, Mojkovac and Bijelo Polje by train.
